E-ellis? Who’s that, honey?
Ah, I’m doing really good! Though it’s been pretty quiet recently…
“Ellis is my German Shepard. He is the sweetest dog in the world.” She giggled and nodded. “I agree with you there. It’s been a little lonely.”
“And how are you doing tonight? Good, I hope! It’s really nice outside tonight…!”
She smiled with a nod. “I’m doing fine, what about you? And I noticed, I might even take Ellis out for a walk.”
Hello, sweetheart! <3
“Hey Mama.” She smiled softly.
“Where did everyone go?”
He was hardly lucid at this point, the feeling of falling still making his gut sink even after he’d been caught. He could spot the black of the night in front of them, registering the shaky silhouettes of trees and dots of white snow interrupting his vision. For a moment, he idly wondered if he would have been completely buried under a blanket of white if he’d stayed where he was all night.
But no. There was a sliver of warmth by his side, and not just where he was bleeding either. There was another moment of recognition when he felt his legs move. They were walking. A voice. She was talking to him, asking him something. The word ‘ambulance’ rang in his head, and set off an alarm.
“No!” Was his immediate response, the word coming out as a hoarse croak. He couldn’t go there, not when he was a wanted criminal. He’d be arrested in no time flat. As for his parents… There was not much he could say about them.
“No…” He protested again, trying to shift their direction away from wherever she was taking him. Home, the lair… He wanted to be surrounded by familiarity once more. That was all… Then he’d get better.
Bebe jumped when he finally yelled out; she had actually thought he had passed out. “No?” She tightened her grip on his side as he attempted to change their direction. “Kid, you need a hospital! Look at you, you’re covered in blood! I mean I know a little about medical treatment and when someone is in your condition…it’s time to go see an expert.”
Even despite her warnings, he still pushed her in the opposite direction of the hospital. She huffed, finally giving in and following his lead. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you… If you get really fucked up and sick it’s not my fault. I tried to get you to a hospital.” Stubborn jackass. She rolled her eyes and continued on. All she worried about now was getting him somewhere and leaving.
She slowly looked over to him and her conscious quickly kicked in. Was she sure it was okay to leave him once she got him to a house or apartment? Would he be able to patch himself up? Would he be able to make it to bed with no problems? What if her passed out and hit his head on the way down. She’d have to make sure he was fine before she could go anywhere.
“H-Hey…stay with me, okay?” She quickly spoke up when she noticed his head bobbing. She had no idea where they were going and she didn’t want to drag him the rest of the way. “Where are we going anyway? Are we close?”
Is finally replying to everyone.
He offered a shrug before following suit and lying on the soft mattress. Yeah, this was definitely a step up from the dusty old floor.
“It won’t matter where you hide it — you know I’ll still find it right?” Even if he didn’t have a key, he’d find a way inside. There was no helping getting surprise visits when you were friends with someone like Professor Chaos.
The villain rolled onto his side and made himself comfortable, eyes slowly taking her in as he waited for her next move.
“Anyway, what was all this about being lonely?”
When he laid beside her, she scooted closer and rested her head against his shoulder with a laugh. “I don’t care if you break in, it’s other people I’m worried about. And next time just make yourself comfortable. I don’t want you laying on the floor for hours.” She smiled softly. “And if you break in when my parents are here you might wanna watch yourself…my dad is pretty protective.”
Bebe’s smile faded when he brought up the subject of being lonely. With a huff she looked up to the male. “…it’s just I feel like everyone is gone. Red, Wendy…half of my old friends are never around. Hell, my boyfriend isn’t even around anymore.” She sighed and looked away. “Sometimes I feel like you’re the only one who stuck around for me.”
